Mandatory Immigration Check-In

Welcome to Ann Arbor, Michigan! After your arrival, the International Center is required to activate your SEVIS record. Before we can activate your SEVIS record, you are required to complete the immigration check-in. We cannot make any changes to your SEVIS record, including travel signatures, until your SEVIS record is active. Immigration check-in is completely virtual and includes three parts (outlined above). If you have any questions, please reach out to the International Center to ask.

Failure to complete the immigration check-in can result in loss of your F-1 or J-1 immigration status.
