New Club Launch: Mime Club
HCS is pleased to announce the addition of its newest club. The Mime Club uses creative arts, primarily mime, to share Bible stories and the Gospel in various public venues. It also utilizes weekly practices and events to invest in growing the students in their faith and leadership skills by participating in Bible studies, prayer groups, and being assigned weekly responsibilities.
The Mime club meets on Mondays from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm at San Diego Grace Brethren Church located at 3455 Atlas St, San Diego 92111. The cost to join is $40 per student. For families with multiple students, the 3rd student and beyond will be only $25 each. Students ages 8 to 18 may join.
Anyone interested in joining Mime Club can visit one of their weekly practices to check it out before formally committing to participate. Please RSVP to the club via email prior to your visit.
To contact the Mime club, email mimeclub@hcssd.org. Registration for the club takes place through your HSL account. The Mime Club page may be found under The Arts on HSL.

March 9, 2024 | 5:00 pm
North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre | Chula Vista, CA
This year Franklin Graham will be traveling to ten cities including Chula Vista and will be presenting a gospel message at the God Loves You Frontera Tour. There will be live worship as well.
We first and foremost personally want to invite Heritage Christian Schools to attend this event and would love to be able to connect with you and share more about it! I have attached the link to our website, godlovesyoutour.com to learn more.
In addition to attending the event, we also have several volunteer opportunities. For past tours, we have had groups from local Christian schools serve with us on the day of the event. This has been a great opportunity for students to serve with their friends and community, as well as a way to complete their community service hours too!
We still have a need for volunteers to serve on-site! Our On-site Team consists of two shifts assisting with various needs, from the set-up of 10x10 tent, tables, and materials for various resource tents around the venue to greeting & serving in our resource tents. If you are interested in learning more about the event or serving as a group, my team and I would be happy to connect with you via phone call or Zoom and walk through the various shift opportunities and the simple 2-step registration process for your group!
In addition to our On-Site Team, we have our Prayer Team as well, where volunteers can come alongside a new believer after the invitation and pray with them. We’d be happy to walk through the steps of this role as well during a phone call or Zoom meeting.
