NOTE FROM YOUR PRESIDENT

David Karachuk

November 2024

Hi, everyone. Happy November!

We have three events in the works before we say goodbye to 2024.

Up first, on Thursday, November 14, is another half-day Advisor Education Symposium followed by our Annual Lunch in Shelton. At the AES, we're hosting Cozy Whitman of College Inside Track, Ben Henry-Moreland of Kitces Speakers, and Howard Levine of Carmady Law. At lunch, you'll hear updates on FPACT's activities from Chapter Leaders.

We're holding our Holiday Party on Tuesday, December 10, at Haven Beer Company in Hamden. All are welcome to the Board Meeting prior.

Finally, the next Secrets of Success Virtual Advisor Roundtable is also scheduled for Tuesday, December 10.

You'll find details below.

In October, the Chapter Board elected our Officers and Directors for 2025. I'm pleased to announce the elections of Chris Lee as President-Elect and Ann Marie Ocone as Secretary. Three of this year's Officers will serve another year: Salim Boutagy as Chair & Past President, Laura Sundquist as Treasurer, and I as President.

Among next year's eight non-Officer Directors are one new name, Alec Rosen; six re-elects, Daniela Cerasani, Chuck Failla, Denis Horrigan, Kristin Oswald, Charlie Rocco and Tim Stowell; and one transition, Paul Morrone, from Secretary. Mike Parry will be leaving the Board at the year's end.

On behalf of the Chapter, thanks to all of you for your dedication to the Chapter and your advice to and camaraderie with me personally. It's been my pleasure to work with you.

As my close here, I'll mention the early lineup for next year's FPACT calendar so you can SAVE THE DATES:

  • Morning Education Meeting on Tuesday, February 25
  • State Conference on Wednesday, April 23
