OUR SERVICES
Rev. Kevin Taylor will be leading our service this week.  The service is available via Livestream beginning at 9am Sunday morning and archived for viewing anytime.  

Children's Sunday School will happen via ZOOM: 10am for Little Zoomies (ages 4-7) and 10:35am for Big Zoomers (ages 8+). Just text your e-mail and time preference to Heather at 905-978-7610. 

You can also watch our services directly from YouTube. After entering YouTube, search for our channel, Marshall Memorial United Church and click "Subscribe" once (free of charge) so the site is added to your YouTube for easy retrieval.

SEARCH COMMITTEE UPDATE

I am very pleased to announce that on Monday, March 8th the Board approved the nomination of the Search Committee members. I would like to thank Brian McKnight, Garth Bagnall, Paul Knechtel, Kerry Radigan, Barbara Mahaffy, Carol MacKenzie, Lesli Savelli and Tracy Klingbeil for agreeing to take on the important task of selecting our next minister. I have asked Barbara Mahaffy to serve as the chair of the committee.

On April 13th there will be a training session via Zoom provided by Rev. Diane Blanchard who is our Regional Council's Minister of Pastoral Relations. Sue Stephen who has been assigned to be our Regional liaison will also participate in this meeting. Once the training session has been completed the team will begin the first stage of the selection process. 

It is difficult to determine how long this process will take, but I am certain that we will be given regular updates outlining how the search is progressing.

I hope that you will continue to pray for wisdom, discernment, and God's guidance for each member of the Search Committee.

SOUP TO GO - FROM THE OUTREACH COMMITTEE

We are once again selling 12 ounces of home made soup for six dollars ($6) a container. One of our soups this time will be made by Chef Anthony of Clay Pot Catering. He uses our kitchen occasionally and generously offered to make soup for our Outreach fundraiser! As before, soup can be ordered through calling Linda at 905-648-1671 or craiglinda9@gmail.com or texting 905-929-0378. Orders will be accepted from March 5th till March 20th, as long as quantities are still available.

Payment can be made by cheque, exact change or e-transfer (marshallmemorial@gmail.com)

PICK UP DATES: Friday, March 26 from 4-5 p.m. and Saturday, March 27th 10:30a.m. till 12 noon. Delivery for those unable to get to the church will occur Saturday, March 27 in the afternoon.

PLEASE PARK IN THE GILBERT STREET PARKING LOT AND COME TO THE HALL KITCHEN DOOR FOR PICKING UP YOUR SOUP.

MMUC PODCASTS
Interest in Podcasts is increasing with 30% of English Canadians listening and of those listening 9% are listening to Religious and Spirituality content. 

What is a Podcast? A podcast is an episodic series of spoken word digital audio recordings that a user can download to a personal device for easy listening in the car, on a hike or while doing other things around your home.

The MMUC Podcast is things to listen to from Marshall. Right now we are testing a variety of content. We have some sermons, a couple of announcements, a sample bible study discussion, and a "Get to Know Us" feature - where we ask a Marshall person some fun random questions to learn about them.

For Podcast people we invite you to subscribe on whatever listening app you are using. 

If you don't have an app, no problem, just visit https://mmuc.buzzsprout.com/ and select any of the recordings you want to hear.
