A Virtual Holiday Toast to the Fall Season
Sunday, December 13th at 8:00pm

Come gather with fellow NYS families to toast the season!

Please join our NYS community for festive drinks (BYO), and show off your holiday decorations via zoom while we enjoy ensemble music and the talents of our fabulous conductors and coaches. Our tentative schedule includes Principal Orchestra conductor Jonathan Yates and Concert Orchestra conductor Russell Ger sharing their expert knowledge of some seasonal repertoire, and our brass ensemble presenting a showcase video performance. A performance by Mrs. Mac, Dr. Rafael, Dr. Sigrid and Darwin (our talented string conductors & coaches). Students, siblings, parents, grandparents, all are welcome. Put on your ugly holiday sweater or dress up in sparkle, bring your hot cocoa, wine, bubbly or other drink of choice, and join us in celebrating the season with the NYS community and in wishing NYS all the best in 2021!
NYS Holiday Cookie Swap
Sign-up by December 14, 2020

Are you doing a lot of baking these days? Join the NYS Holiday Cookie Swap, a fun and delicious way to connect with the NYS community and share your favorite holiday cookies! Each participating family will bake for one participating NYS family, and receive cookies from another. We will work to connect families that live within a reasonable distance from one another, and all drop-offs will be contactless. We ask that your cookie delivery include information about ingredients, with a sensitivity toward food allergies. (Our participation form will request this information.) Anybody who would like is invited to share their recipe and holiday greetings as well!

The Cookie Swap drop-off will be at your convenience, between December 18th and December 20th. We invite you to post pictures of your cookies on our NYS Instagram or Facebook page! If interested, please sign up here and you will receive further details shortly. Let’s treat one another to a joyous holiday season!
