This Coming Sunday - February 10th, 2019
Dear FUMC family,

This Sunday I will be preaching on 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. We often hear this verse read at weddings, sometimes on Mother’s Day, and occasionally in Valentine’s Day cards. But don’t get the wrong idea. Paul is not being romantic, sentimental, or sweet. Rather he is addressing the divisions within the Corinthian Church, he is calling out the Corinthians for falling short in exemplifying Christ-like love, and he is offering a more excellent way. Paul’s understanding of Christ-like love can apply to all areas of our lives. The greatest gift is love. I hope that you will join us.

In Christ,
Pastor John
Pastor John Fitzgerald

"What's Love Got to Do With It?"

1 Corinthians 13:1-13
Questions to ponder:

1. Where is the disunity in your life?
2. How are we called to work for unity in the church?
3. What does love have to do with us?

Serve Your Church
Attention all FUMC family...it is time again to start filling in our volunteer calendar for our Good News and Daddy at the Desk workers. Good News is a time during each worship service that the children ages 3 - 2nd grade are allowed to slip away for some kid friendly worship. It only takes about 30 minutes of your time and lessons are provided. Our Daddies at the Desk provide security for our nursery during the 10:55 service, these special guys (or gals) man the front door and monitor the Education Building. We REALLY need your help with both of these jobs during 2019. Sign up for available times by clicking the buttons below. If you have any questions or want to talk more about it please contact Kim Myers. 336-889-3103
