The After School Program is a class that offers something for all ages and abilities! All golf skills and fundamentals are covered, along with the many life skills within The First Tee curriculum, The First Tee Nine Core Values™ and specific athletic movement stations that help to develop a healthy and athletic child.
It is important to note that many stations are set up for each golf skill that have a specific purpose to help the golfer learn and improve; children will rotate through these stations after a particular amount of time (based upon the age group) until they have completed all stations.
Coaches participate in contests with the golfers as well, in an effort to build a sense of team during their time in class. Stations and contests can be adjusted quickly depending upon where the child is their development path.

Colten
was born in Lodi, California where he graduated from Jim Elliot Christian High School. Following graduation, he attended American River and Consumes River Junior college where he was a dual sport athlete in basketball and golf. After two seasons, he transferred to the University of the Pacific on a golf scholarship where he graduated in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
He is now the Junior Tour Director for The First Tee of Greater Sacramento.
Prior to The First Tee, Colten worked as a multimedia account executive for Gatehouse media.
Colten first joined us a member of our Junior Tour back in 2007.
As our junior tour director, Colten's goal is to be a mentor and positive influence to each participant that he has the opportunity to work with. He is excited to use his past golf and business experience to grow our program!
Colten plans to continue his education by pursuing an MBA in Finance, as well as pursue golf on the amateur level. He is involved in with the Sacramento Metro Chamber (Metro Edge), and plans to grow The First Tee of Greater Sacramento through multiple avenues!
Colten will be an outstanding addition to our chapter and we are happy to have him on board.
