More Than A Game
At The First Tee of Greater Sacramento, we get young people outdoors and socially engaged with others in a fun activity-based environment, but we teach way more than just a game. We instill core values and life skills and teach healthy habits. Our character education helps young people prepare for success in high school, college and life.

Tom Morton Qualifies for PGA Tour Event

To m Morton's journey began on Monday, May 1, 2017, when he won both of his first matches at Yolo Fliers Club in Woodland. From there, he drove to Santa Cruz that evening. On Tuesday, Tom won both of his matches at Pasatiempo and then drove to Pebble Beach. The excitement continued Wednesday morning when he won his match at Cypress Point. Tom went on to win his final match at Pebble Beach, making him the NCPGA Match Play Champion.

This win will qualify Tom to play in an upcoming PGA Tour event, the Barracuda Championship (formerly the Reno-Tahoe Open). The Barracuda Championship will be held at the Montreux Golf and Country Club on August 3-6, 2017.

According to Tom, "This is beyond my imagination to have kept winning matches against so many great players in our section. With the win, to have received an exemption into a PGA Tour event is a dream I have always had. I am getting up there in age and to be honest, this is a dream I thought had passed me by."

Congratulations Tom
