MEDICARE SECTION:t
How to get ready for the Annual Enrollment Period! There is a lot to cover ......
As the Annual Enrollment Period gets here, you will be receiving a lot of Medicare solicitation material from the different insurance companies trying to offer you what their Medicare plans have to offer for 2027. This could be good news to see what other Medicare insurance plans are offering.
You will also receive the Annual Notification of Change (ANOC) document for the insurance plans that you are currently enrolled in. The ANOC documents explain what the 2026 plan benefits are and how those benefits will change for 2027. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS ANOC DOCUMENT, when you receive it. It is important to make sure that your doctors are still in the network and your medications will still be covered under your current insurance, if you will be keeping the insurance plan for 2027. There will be a lot changing for 2027 regarding decrease in benefits, higher annual prescription deductibles, and some PPO plans going away and being replaced with HMO plans. Some plans will be terminated, so be aware.
*** If you end up keeping your current insurance coverage for 2027, the insurance plan will start again in 2027 and you won't need to sign new paperwork or re-enroll.
*** If you WANT TO MAKE CHANGES AND FIND A NEW INSURANCE PLAN, PLEASE CALL ME FOR AN APPOINTMENT so we can stay connected and I can stay or agent/broker of record (and Servicing Agent), which is how I get paid.
*** Some plans will be terminating and may not continue or rollover to 2027, so be aware. If this happens, you will receive a notice from your insurance company (the plan) that you will need to change plans. Please let me make these changes for you so I don't lose you as my client.
You can also expect mailings from other agencies or agents trying to solicit business to you. You can tell that the postcard or flyer you receive is a SOLICITATION by looking at the small print at the bottom of the mailing. If it says something like, "this is a solicitation from an agent or agency and by calling this number or returning the postcard you are agreeing to be contacting" ... basically your personal information will be sold to other agents or agency to call you to discuss Medicare insurance plans. By replying you are giving permission to be contacted. Hopefully, you will reach out to me instead.
NOTE: Unexpected phone calls trying to offer you to change Medicare insurance plans is against an agents/brokers compliance and regulations because that person calling did not have permission to phone call you.
Also, every year I have been emailing a list of the Medicare Advantage plans and the Medicare prescription drugs plans for the following year. You can expect this list of 2027 Medicare Advantage and prescription drug plans to be in your October email newsletter sometime between October 1st and October 15th, for you to review as a preview of Medicare plans being offered in 2027. You will be able to click on the Summary of Benefits link in the email newsletter which will open up to the plan benefits. My hope is that you can get a head start on looking at the options available, prior to the start of the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15th). If you have questions and/or need to schedule a meeting with me, please reach out to me by email, text message or phone call.
I have a feeling this will be another busy Annual Enrollment Period!
If you need a meeting with me and can't get a hold of me right away at your first attempt, just know that I will absolutely get back to you! It is possible that you will hear from me after 5pm and up to 8pm. If you prefer another call back time, please let me know. I will try to accommodate everyone.
I CAN'T TAKE ANY CALLS NOW TO DISCUSS THE 2027 BENEFITS UNTIL OCTOBER 1st, per my compliance. I would suggest to wait until my email newsletter comes out to review the 2027 plans first. So please hold off for now.
Much appreciated. Be well :)
