Message from the PTO President
Dear VFES Families:

Many things to mention today!

The PTO Board has voted to earmark funds to host an Artist-in-Residence program for our 4th graders that would include two all school assemblies. These programs will help our children develop confidence and focus, teamwork, and explore their creativity and imagination through art. I want to thank Mrs. Wills and our 4th grade teachers for their support for the Artist-in Residence program, Jamie Lynch and Emily Brunner for their utmost focus and planning and the PTO Board for supporting this important program. I am hoping that we will be able to make this program a VFES tradition.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Parents Night Out event planned for this weekend. Very few parents RSVPed for the event. We hope that next year we are able to find a better time in the year to make this event a success. I would like to thank Heather McConnell, Alison Murray, Emily Carteen, and Ingrid Van Wormer Sandorff for their hard work and creativity in planning this event.

On a more exciting note, you have made our clubs a huge success. Our Spring Clubs are almost full. Students who are on the waitlist are not guaranteed a spot. If a spot becomes available, we will contact you. Spring clubs start the week of April 3rd.

Please mark your calendars for our General PTO meeting on Thursday, April 20th at 7pm in the Large Group Room. We love to see you, hear your views and suggestions, and have you participate in the decision making process.

The yearbooks are on sale online at http://www.vfespto.org/yearbooks-on-sale-now-order-today/. The board is immensely proud to gift our 4th graders their graduating yearbook.

As always, if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments, please feel free to email me at [email protected].

Much love,
Rujuta Mandelia
