For the fourth year in a row, the City is offering families a Mother’s Day weekend event to celebrate the very special mom (or mother figure) in our younger residents’ lives (K-5th Grade). The event will feature dancing, games, snacks, refreshments, and prizes. Attire is business casual to semi-formal with a cost of $40 per Mother and Son duo. There is an additional fee of $10 for each additional son. Pre-registration only. Tickets are limited and subject to selling out.

Sandy Springs and other cities across the nation are committing to a simple motto: “active kids are healthy kids” and National Kids to Parks Day encourages residents to use local parks and recreation sites to develop more active, healthy lifestyles.

The City is launching a brand new “Safety Action Plan.” Safe Streets 4 Sandy Springs will work to identify strategies to reduce fatal, and serious injury, crashes on its roadways. Keep North Fulton Beautiful is hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday May 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Fulton Government Service Center at 7741 Roswell Road. This event is exclusively for residents of the City of Sandy Springs. No businesses or contractors please. Pre-registration and a valid photo ID at the event displaying your address are required.

Registration deadline: May 22nd, or when they reach capacity, whichever comes first.

The next time you're at City Hall, checkout the current exhibit featuring Goldstein Art Photography. The exhibit features the work of Cary and Jody Goldstein and their keen eye for nature and architecture. This exhibit will run until June and the Gallery will be open during City Hall's business hours.

Kids' Yogaland

Story yoga classes, where simple yoga poses are accompanied by engaging songs, puppets, and carefully selected stories that naturally lend themselves to yoga movements. Parent/caregiver and me yoga classes, where caregivers partner with their child in fun, animated poses. They’ll bark in downward dog, hiss in cobra pose, and flutter our butterfly wings as we balance, stretch, sing, and play. Beginning May 11 on the City Green.

Starting May 21, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. FIT4MOM is the nation’s leading prenatal and postnatal fitness program, providing fitness classes and a network of moms to support every stage of motherhood. From pregnancy, through postpartum and beyond, their fitness and wellness programs help make moms strong in body, mind, and spirit. The maximum participation is 20.

Cornhole League at Sundown Social

Cornhole ATL's seven-week leagues will begin June 6 and include a season ending tournament with a championship trophy and other prizes. The first-place teams from each location will qualify to compete in the larger State Championship Cornament with a chance to win additional prizes and get your team name on The Cup!
