Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Art & Film Celebration

All are invited to the City's 16th annual tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at City Springs, Monday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. This free, family-friendly event will honor Dr. King with interactive art projects and a film designed to celebrate, educate, and share his teachings. CityBar. will offer kid-friendly menu items for purchase.

Groundbreaking for the City's First Trail
|
|
|
In December we had the official groundbreaking for the first trail segment as outlined in the Sandy Springs Master Trail Plan! The 1.88 mile segment includes a scenic boardwalk across Orkin Lake, and will enhance access to the Chattahoochee River, connecting Morgan Falls Overlook Park to Roswell Road at Cimarron Parkway. The City's Public Art Collection Continues to Grow
|
|
|
Last month, we celebrated the latest addition to our public art collection! Solstice, by local artist David Landis, was gifted to the City by the Cornerstone Donors to commemorate the Sandy Springs Society’s 35 years of service to our community. It is now on permanent display in City Springs on the traffic island between The Select and NAM Kitchen. See photos of the reception on our Facebook page.

Visit Sandy Springs Launches
Dine Like a Local Program

Visit Sandy Springs, the destination marketing organization for the City launched its new Dine Like a Local program. Those who sign up online, will lock in their free digital passport, which will serve as an insider’s guide to our dining scene. Now through March 31, diners will have the opportunity to curate and track their dining experiences, winning a variety of prizes for participating. Jobseekers and employers are invited to come together at Sandy Springs Connects on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Studio Theatre at City Springs. Jobseekers from the Atlanta metro area will get a chance to talk to representatives dozens of companies in and near Sandy Springs, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to locally-owned small businesses in various industries. Sandy Springs Education Force Recycling Event and Fundraiser

Recycle old electronics and have the data securely wiped with a donation to Sandy Springs Education Force!
Date: Jan. 21 from 10 a.m to 1 p.m.
Location: North Springs High School Parking Lot, 7447 Roswell Road.
A donation of $20 per car will help provide urgently needed funds to support Sandy Springs Education Force’s STEAM, literacy, after-school and mentoring programs in our schools. (Plus, feel free to bring new school supplies to donate!) Learn more.

This Month at the Performing Arts Center

The Studio Series continues on Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. when Heather Luttrell and the Possumden take the stage. They bring a big sound, witty lyrics, and a one-of-a-kind experience with their whiskey-soaked traveling show of Blues and Americana.
