HOW DID FACT BECOME FICTION AND FICTION BECOME FACT?
“Therefore, God shall save them from the operation of error, to believe lying: that all may be judged who have not believed the Truth, but have consented to iniquity” (II Thessalonians II: 10-11).
How is it possible that in an age that extols “scientific evidence” above Divine Revelation, we can so easily fall prey to fiction, superstition, and the most bizarre fairy tales?
Nothing can be more concrete, more realistic, more factual than the Authority of God Himself revealed in Sacred Scripture and Catholic Tradition. Why? Because it is God’s Authority Who is above all, the Creator of all, the highest Authority above angels, men, and men’s politics! “For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, of Whom all Paternity in Heaven and earth is named” (Ephesians III: 14-15).
But modern man, by rejecting the Social Reign of Our Lord Jesus Christ, has become blind and reverted to a “dark ages” and savagery that would make a pre-Christian pagan blush with shame. Our apostate age has reverted to superstitions and fairy tales that would make the ancient Celtic druids laugh.
Let’s look at a few examples:
Abortion
Fiction: “It’s just a blob of flesh having no face, no character, no humanity, no soul! It’s my body, my rights!”
Fact: It is scientifically proven that the DNA code of each cell, fixed by God, has all the information for the child’s eyes and hair color, height, teeth, nose, internal organs, and skin color for his whole life. It is a fact that the baby’s heart, brain, body, internal and external organs are established by the twelfth week of gestation, so that even the abortionists have to re-assemble the mangled body of the baby to make sure they have fully emptied the mother’s womb! What Aztec high priest wouldn’t shudder at such hypocrisy if he were to see the abortion tools, suction cups, and rooms all “disinfected,” “germ-free,” “sanitized,” and “safe?” Indeed, the blood of millions of babies, robbed of the possibility of the Beatific Vision, cries to Heaven for vengeance!
Evolution
Such a myth was condemned by the German bishops in Regensburg soon after Charles Darwin released his book, On the Origin of Species by means of Natural Selection, published on November 22, 1859.
St. Pius X condemned Evolution in its principles, in the decrees of the Biblical Commission in 1910 and Pascendi as well as Lamentabili in 1907.
Evolution’s fairy tales extend far and wide, but its main tenets are: the 4.543 billion year old earth; man and life first evolved from a “primordial soup”; apes are our physical ancestors; the fossil records show billions of years of sedimentation; and everything visible began with a “Big Bang,” spawning complex order from absolute disorder.
A greater deception yet is the so-called “Theistic Evolution” which is comparable to “Liberal Catholicism” in the political sphere, or the “Extraordinary Form of the Mass” in the liturgical order. Theistic evolutionists attempt to integrate the doctrines of Creation with Evolution, reducing the Authority of God to a mere “flavoring,” sprinkled over the Big-Bang-Theory and Apes-as-our-Ancestors!
Let it be proclaimed that Evolution is so far from being scientific and factual as Cinderella is from being your sister! The Americans' tax dollars go to pay public school teachers to teach these lies as dogmas. Yet, despite its many claims:
- No one has been able to observe or repeat in a lab the making of life form from non-life (life from cold matter, i.e. chemical evolution).
- No one has been able to observe or repeat the changing of a single-celled life form, like an amoeba, into a cow or ape over billions of years, nor find a “missing link” to support that men coming from apes (biological evolution).
- No one has been able to observe or repeat the Big Bang Theory (cosmological/astronomical evolution).
- No one has observed millions of years of time progressing in the geological/sedimentary layers (geological evolution).
Evolutionists make a religion, with its set of unscientific dogmas opposed to what God has revealed with full authority, and Who was Himself, the only eye-witness to His claims in the book of Genesis (the six-day Creation, the Fall of Adam and Eve, the Global Flood, and the Tower of Babel). It is indeed a battle of two different religions!
Moreover, true observation, true science, especially in the last seventy years, has gathered more evidence than ever, helping to prove the young age of the earth (6,000 years); studies in genetics validating the human race as coming from only one father and one mother (supported in addition, by the complexity of human chromosomes and DNA); the fossil record proves the Global Flood of Noah, with evidence of fish and animals trapped in mud in a state of panic, caught in a sudden catastrophe; the Grand Canyon, rather than taking millions of years to form, was carved-out rather quickly, as was done on a smaller scale in 1980, when Mt. St. Helens' volcano erupted, forming a mini-Grand Canyon, within a few hours!
I recommend our readers find solid refutations in reliable sources showing Evolution as fictional (cf. How Old is the Earth? Dr. Andrew Snelling; Dr. Walter Brown's Hydroplate Theory). Unfortunately, the Protestants are on the front lines of Creationism, where it should be the Catholics, but while avoiding their errors, one can still profit much from the irrefutable evidence they’ve gathered defending Genesis.
Besides, need we present any greater proof that the Book of Genesis is historical fact than the words of Our Lord Himself? Our Lord did not allegorize the accounts of Genesis but took them as straightforward history, describing events that actually happened, just as the Old Testament describes. His references to these historical accounts include Adam and Eve as the first married couple (St. Matthew 19:3-6; St. Mark 10:3-9), Abel as the first prophet who was martyred (St. Luke 11:50-51), Noah and the Flood (St. Matthew 24:38-39), Lot and his wife (St. Luke 17: 28-32) and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah (St. Matthew 10:15), Moses and the serpent in the wilderness wanderings, after the exodus from Egypt (St. John 3:14), Moses and the manna from heaven (St. John 6: 32-33, 6:49), the supernatural miracles of Elias (St. Luke 4: 25-27) and Jonah in the belly of the whale (St. Matthew 12:40-41).
Indeed, Christ defends the historicity of Scripture as absolutely clear and certain! Eleven times the Evangelists record Him saying, “Have you not read…?” And thirty times He defended His teaching by saying, “It is written.” He rebuked His listeners for not understanding and believing what the texts plainly say.
It should be no surprise that Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre warned his priests to avoid the snares of Naturalism, Evolution, and Modernism by clearly saying, “Let us accept with simplicity, humility, and faith, the account of Genesis, which describes for us the work of Creation…” (Spiritual Journey, Abp. Lefebvre, Ch. V, p. 20). [Fr. Paul Robinson, SSPX, take heed!]
Coronavirus, Masks, and Social Distancing
Perhaps in March and April of this year, people could be excused for initially believing in what was propagandized as a “world-killer-pandemic” taking “thousands of lives.” But with all the evidence that has since surfaced (see The Recusant, Issue 51 for references) showing it kills --- very few, if any! Lies written on death certificates, exaggerations about its spreading, lies about masks preventing viruses, lies about lock-downs, etc. have all been diffused by expert doctors, nurses, immunologists, virologists, common sense Mom’s and Dad’s, who have exposed (and can see for themselves) the contrary facts! The facts defy mainstream fiction!
Furthermore, the aggressive censorship of these honest voices presenting solid evidence, are silenced by the media who continue to propagate non-scientific, non-factual lies, and exaggerations! Pope Pius XI warned about these diabolical tactics in his Encyclical on Communism, Divini Redemptoris, 1937. Now, we’re seeing these fables being enforced with fines and penalties! In truth, everything Our Lady of Fatima has prophesied is happening!
Fiction: “Fr. Juniper Serra Represents Slavery and Mass-murder.”
Talk about irresponsible fiction and lies! Nothing could be further from the truth! Some outstanding facts are the twenty-one Mission churches still witnessing to the love and affection the Indians had for their Franciscan padres! The Indians found the Light of the Only Savior, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in the Catholic Mass and catechism, so self-sacrificially given by the sons of St. Francis!
They were further instructed in basic skills of agriculture, carpentry, adobe construction, irrigation, and found protection from hostile Indian tribes within the walls of the holy Missions. The Indians gladly and willingly helped build the churches and homes. They weren’t 'whipped as unwilling slaves' as the false historians portray.
Just in the San Antonio Mission alone, in 1771, Fr. Serra saw the Indians happily assist in building a 130-foot-long church. In its heyday, that mission had 8,000 cattle, 12,000 sheep, and abundant crops of grain, especially grapes and wine. All the inventory and records are kept in the Mission's archives and provide proof of the welcoming and grateful attitude of the majority of the natives.
Do unwilling “slaves” sing with joy? It is a fact that some of the Indian choirs, trained in Gregorian chant and polyphony by the padres, would rival some of the best choirs of Baroque Europe! The choir lofts and original organs are still there to testify! Again, let the facts speak over the barrage of fiction and lies screamed out as the miscreants tore down his statues!
These are just a few examples out of hundreds of lies we swim in, today. Suffice that for now. Let us proclaim the Light of Christ the King, the only remedy!
How accurate the foresight of Cardinal Pie of Poitiers (+1880) was, when he said, “Tyranny of governments, instability of powers, powerlessness of men, this is the triple evil that follows from the abandonment of Christian law and the Social Reign of Christ the King!” [Cardinal Pie, Sermon VIII, 14, 1873].
