Investment Opportunities in Argentina | | El Ceibo Potassium Project | | |
International trade in potassium has grown steadily over the past 25 years, and it is in this context that Argentina stands out for having discovered in 1975 one of the largest potassium deposits in the world, located in the Neuquén Basin, which extends between Mendoza and Neuquén.
The “El Ceibo” project proposes the extraction of potassium using the selective solution mining technique over a 71 km² area owned by CanCambria Exploración, subsidiary of Argentina Potash and Canadian mining company engaged in the exploration and development of potash resources in Argentina.
The project has a certified resource report prepared under Canadian standards (NI 43-101), published in December 2023. As a result, the project is ready to move into its development, construction, and production phase.

The reforms and policies implemented by the Argentine government under President Milei to favor business and open markets were also discussed as a special factor in tech development and innovation, as well as a growing favorable investment climate.
Our big thanks to the panelists Roger Einstoss (BRAINTLY Co-founder & CEO), Victoria Kammerath (ALVK LAW Founder & Managing Attorney), Pedro Segundo de Arteaga (WINCLAP CBO), Juan Mateo de Monasterio (MUTT DAC Co-Founder & CRO) and Donza T. Argentine entrepreneurs with global impact at
NYC TechWeek 2025
| | |
During NYC Tech Week 2025 we also had great conversations with Argentine entrepreneurs visiting New York to participate in the tech's largest decentralized even, bringing together the top founders, funds, and companies around the globe.
With Matias Barbero, Argentine entrepreneur and investor based in Miami, we discussed opportunities for cooperation and investment with Argentina and ways to continue building bridges between the Argentine and international ecosystems.
| | | Matias is another prime example of Argentine talent making a global impact: he invests in funds like 500 Global and Pygma, and in startups such as SkyBlue Analytics and Hashi, supporting innovation and development. He is also co-founder of School In One, a platform that is transforming education through technology. | | | | |
We also welcomed Pablo Statile, Argentine entrepreneur and co-founder of Onrival Health, a pioneering New York City-based startup revolutionizing women’s health and mental health through innovative technology.
Pablo and his wife and co-founder Johana A. Dazzini have launched two innovative apps—Postpartum App and Menopause Health Tracker—that offer AI-driven solutions for women for postpartum recovery and menopause management.
| | We explored how the Consulate’s work as Promotion Center in connecting and empowering Argentine startups can amplify their global impact, fostering networks to bridge local talent with international opportunities. Thank you, Pablo and Johana, for your dedication to advancing health and proudly representing Argentina’s entrepreneurial spirit. | | Argentina highlights bold reforms at NYC Bar's Latin American Summit | | |
It was a privilege for Argentina to close this year’s Latin America Summit hosted by the New York City Bar Association—an important platform for dialogue among legal and policy leaders from across the hemisphere.
In his closing remarks, Consul General of Argentina in New York, Gerardo "Gerry" Díaz Bartolomé underscored the deep and transformative reforms being carried out under President Javier Milei’s administration. These reforms—anchored in a strong commitment to legal certainty, institutional integrity, and market transparency—seek to re-establish Argentina as a credible and attractive destination for international investment.
As he noted, “Growth must rest on the rule of law—not as an abstract ideal, but as a concrete condition for investor confidence, democratic resilience, and long-term prosperity.” The recent approval by Congress of landmark legislation, including the Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI), marks a clear step toward greater openness, economic stability, and global engagement.

Highlights of recent cultural events

Luciana Levinton
"Modern Echoes"
| | |
Mirta Gendin
"Intangible Landscapes"
| | |
On Thursday, May 29, the Consulate General inaugurated two new exhibitions by Argentine artists, drawing a warm and engaged audience of professionals and art enthusiasts.
In our Main Gallery, we presented Modern Echoes by Luciana Levinton—an artist and architect whose work is inspired by her research into the flow of architecture, as well as modern and contemporary design. Her pieces invite viewers to explore the dialogue between structure, space, and imagination.
Simultaneously, our Library and newly opened Hall—now serving as an additional cultural space within our building—host Intangible Landscapes by visual artist Mirta Gendin. In this exhibit, Gendin captures the ephemeral and transforms it into open, abstract territories, where light and form dissolve into new visual perceptions.
Both exhibitions will remain open to the public until July 30, and can be visited Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. (except on holidays). We invite you to experience these powerful expressions of Argentine creativity right here in New York.
| | |
As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting Argentine culture, we had the pleasure of hosting a vibrant and inspiring celebration of New Tango—a performance that paid tribute to the legacy of Astor Piazzolla, George Gershwin, Michael Fennelly, and more. Under the artistic direction of Analía Farfan, this innovative fusion production reimagined tango through a modern, universal lens, while preserving the passion, elegance, and unmistakable spirit that make it a deeply Argentine art form.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the International American Ballet for their outstanding collaboration, to the exceptional tango dancers from Argentina, and to the talented performers who enriched the evening with ballet, flamenco, and the powerful voice of Mariela Marcó. We are also grateful to the audience, whose continued presence and enthusiasm help us share the richness of Argentina’s cultural identity with the world.

"Modern echoes" by Luciana Levinton
The Consulate General of Argentina in New York presents
"Modern echoes", by Luciana Levinton
| | |
"In this exhibition of paintings, entitled 'Modern Echoes' inspirations arise from a research on the current of modern and contemporary architecture and design, the Delfina and Amancio Williams' House on the Stream in Mar del Plata, the work of Lina Bo Bardi in Sao Paulo, Eileen Gray's projects in Paris in the 20's, Charlotte Perriand, Athos Bulcao, Clorindo Testa and Le Corbusier, among others. Through my painting, I seek to communicate and make some of these works known.
As an architect graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, each painting I present carries behind it a documentary research and together they cover an era, a body of work of an architecture of the Modern Movement, from the point of view of pictorial art" (Artist's statement)
The Exhibition can be visited until July 30 ,
Gallery hours from 9:00 - 1:00 pm / 2:00pm -5:00pm
12 West 56th St, New York, NY 10019

"Intangible Landscapes" by Mirta Gendin
The Consulate General of Argentina in New York presents
"Intangible Landscapes", by Mirta Gendin and curated by Carla Rey
| | |
"The landscape is an image in contemplation, a fleeting instant caught in reflection. Mirta Gendin captures its ephemerality and, through her creative process, transforms it into an open territory where light and form dissolve into new perceptions.
Mirta Gendin’s work mutates into vibration, into a weave of light oscillating between the real and the imagined. Each image is a threshold, a reflection that unravels and begins again, inviting the gaze to lose itself in its transformation".
The Exhibition can be visited until July 30.
Gallery hours from 9:00 - 1:00 pm / 2:00pm -5:00pm
