Promoting Argentina Tourism in New York

This September, the Consulate General and Promotion Center of Argentina in New York carried out two major initiatives to strengthen Argentina’s presence in the U.S. tourism market.

In partnership with Visit Argentina / INPROTUR, a Tourism Workshop brought together local operators, agencies, and industry leaders. Consul General Amb. Gerardo “Gerry” Díaz Bartolomé opened the event, followed by INPROTUR’s Gisela March presenting Argentina’s destinations, air connectivity, and opportunities. A reception with Argentine wines and products offered an immersive experience, strengthening Argentina’s position as a competitive, high-potential destination in the U.S. market.

We also hosted an exclusive breakfast for top Travel Advisors, together with AMV Travel, with the support of Argentine hotels and wineries, cruise companies and Visit Buenos Aires. The participants experienced the presentation interactively through SIX, with personalized access to itineraries and content in real time.

Both workshops convened local tour operators, travel agencies, and tourism industry stakeholders, allowing participants to learn first-hand about Argentina’s unique tourism offer, build new professional networks, and explore opportunities for future partnerships. By connecting directly with the U.S. travel trade, Argentina strengthens its ability to showcase its destinations to a wider audience and attract more visitors.

Design from Entre Rios shined at Coterie NY

From September 14 to 16, during NY Fashion Week, four brands from the province of Entre Ríos represented Argentina at Coterie New York, one of the most influential fashion fairs in the world, held at the Javits Center.

The Consulate General and Promotion Center of Argentina in New York proudly supported this participation, together with the Ministry of Development of Entre Ríos and Argentina’s Foreign Ministry. This initiative strengthened the international presence of Argentine design, showcasing the creativity, identity, and innovation of our entrepreneurs.

The featured brands were:

RØMU → contemporary fashion design and tailoring.

María Faure → urban author jewelry blending innovation, aesthetics, and craftsmanship.

Gruya Ropa Desigual → unique, high-quality knitted garments and accessories.

La Rosa Blanca → designer espadrilles with a strong Entrerriano identity.

Their presence marked a significant step in positioning Argentine creativity on the global fashion stage, highlighting both the talent and international potential of Entre Ríos. The brands leveraged the opportunity to showcase their collections, build business contacts, and access new international markets, demonstrating that Argentine design with identity is a strategic tool to open markets and generate income for the country.

Consular services:

Online appointment system already available

As previously announced, the online appointment system is currently available for consular services that require RENAPER’s intervention—specifically DNI and passport applications. The system will be gradually expanded to include additional consular services.

For DNI and passport services, Argentine citizens must request their appointments exclusively through our website:

https://cnyor.cancilleria.gob.ar/es/turnos-online

We will continue to keep our community informed as we work to deliver faster, more innovative, and more efficient services that meet the needs of the Argentine community, in response to the sustained and growing demand for RENAPER-related procedures.

Due to the high number of missed appointments, we kindly remind citizens who have booked and confirmed a slot to arrive on the scheduled day and time. If unable to attend, please notify us in advance so that we may reassign the appointment to another citizen—helping us serve the community more effectively.

National Elections 2025

Next Sunday, October 26, legislative elections will be held in Argentina to renew 127 seats of deputies and 24 seats of national senators. More information (in Spanish) here.

Paula Morando

“De América” – Works by Paula Morando

Explore De América, a captivating solo exhibition of a series of paintings by Argentine artist Paula Morando that invites reflection on the symbols and emblems of our collective identity. From the Argentine coat of arms and the feathers of the hornero and condor, to ceibo flowers and the Virgin of Luján, the works celebrate elements deeply rooted in Argentine culture.

At the same time, Morando weaves in references to indigenous peoples of North America—including chiefs’ headdresses and ritual symbols—evoking a plural continent where ancestral traditions remain a vital force.

The title “De América” carries a dual meaning: it speaks both to our continent as a whole and to the city of América, Buenos Aires, the artist’s birthplace, thus paying homage to her roots.

Cloe Galasso

In this solo exhibition, Cloe Galasso presents a body of abstract work that draws on the principles of Chinese metaphysics, where emptiness and form, light and shadow, move in constant dialogue. Her canvases suggest not a fixed image but a state of becoming—shapes dissolving, energies unfolding, and fragments finding new coherence. What emerges is less a representation than a meditation, an invitation to witness transformation in its most elemental state.

The works carry a quiet intensity, asking viewers to pause and sense the cycles of rupture and rebirth at play within themselves. In their depth and abstraction, they point toward the universal: the courage to let go of what has been, and the mystery of what waits to take form.
