Dear Rich Township Family,
As we approach the end of August, our community has faced some unexpected challenges following the recent severe storms that impacted residents throughout Rich Township. I know many families are still dealing with storm damage, fallen trees, power outages, and other disruptions as they work to get back to normal.
Throughout these challenges, Rich Township has remained committed to doing everything we can to support our residents. Our Road District crews have been working throughout the Township to address fallen trees and storm debris, while our departments and staff continue working to keep essential services and resources available to the community. We appreciate your patience as our crews work to respond to the many areas impacted, and I want to thank our employees and community partners who have continued serving residents during this time.
Even as recovery efforts continue, it has been encouraging to see our community moving forward. Our seniors have continued enjoying activities through Senior Services, families have come together for back to school events, and students are beginning a new school year. These moments remind us of the importance of staying connected and supporting one another, especially during challenging times.
Rich Township also continues to provide valuable resources through our Food Pantry, Senior Services, Transportation services, and other programs designed to support residents throughout our community. I encourage you to take advantage of the services available to you and to share this information with a family member, friend, neighbor, or someone you know who may benefit. These resources are here for our residents, and we want to make sure those who need them know where to turn for assistance.
As we look ahead, I especially encourage our seniors and their families to join us for the Rich Township Senior Services Resource & Health Fair on Thursday, September 24. This important event will bring together health and wellness resources, community organizations, and service providers in one location, giving residents an opportunity to connect directly with valuable programs and information. We look forward to welcoming you and encourage you to save the date.
