Connecting Community Through Recreation & Environmental Stewardship

Dear Friend,

Camas Prairie Park has come alive since we reopened operations on January 1, 2024. In the last 18 months the 58-acre site has welcomed more people, broadened community access and programming, and inspired new life in the clubhouse and restaurant. Revenues are up nearly 25% over 2024, and the City of Port Townsend has extended our lease for 20 years—important milestones that show this place matters to our community. Even with this progress, the Friends of the Golf Park still need community support to be financially sustainable for the next couple of years. Ongoing donations are key to sustaining park operations now and unlocking larger major-donor investments that provide future community improvements and benefits for everyone.

Recent accomplishments:

  • Expanded recreational access for golfers, disc golfers, walkers, and families across the park grounds
  • Reopened and energized the golf course and clubhouse with enthusiastic volunteer corps, attracting new golfers, disk golfers and nongolfers use of the park
  • Remodeled and relaunched the restaurant, Coyote & Crow, drawing locals and visitors back into the park
  • Opened a new multi-use trail connecting neighborhoods to the park
  • Launched community programs for kids, seniors, and prairie stewardship volunteers
  • Supported campus prairie restoration and expansion with initial links style restoration efforts in the golf park
  • Secured major philanthropic support including a $250,000 grant for the natural grass miniature golf for folks of all abilities and a $50,000 gift to fund the Master Use Plan

Please use the enclosed donor form or visit ptgolfpark.org to make your gift. For recurring gifts, multi-year pledges, or questions, email us at finance@ptgolfpark.org or call 360 385-4547.

Thank you for supporting Camas Prairie Park. Your ongoing generosity keeps the course open, the restaurant humming (and expanding hours of operation!), and helps us leverage larger investments that ensures this park is for everyone.

With gratitude,
