Dear Rich Township Family,
Happy Good Friday.
As we step into the month of April, I want to take a moment to reflect on what was truly a remarkable and uplifting Amazing Women of Rich Township Luncheon. It was a pleasure to be in the presence of such accomplished and inspiring women who continue to make a meaningful difference in our community. Events like this remind us of the importance of honoring those who lead with purpose, strength, and compassion.
Women’s History Month may have come to a close, but the impact of the women we celebrated will continue to be felt for years to come. I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to our co-chairs, Lori Carlton-Jordan and Teawana “Tina” Cole-Chambers, along with our dedicated staff, for their efforts in making this event such a success.
As we look ahead, I encourage you and your families to join us for our upcoming Easter Celebration this weekend, in partnership with the Olympia Fields Park District. The event will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at 20712 Western Avenue in Olympia Fields. We have a great afternoon planned with activities, food, music, and fun for the entire family. I especially encourage you to bring the children out and enjoy this time together as a community.
I also encourage all residents to mark your calendars for our upcoming Town Hall Meeting. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Rich Township Shirley J. Green Senior Center, located at 297 Liberty Drive in Park Forest. This is your opportunity to stay informed, connect directly with township leadership, and hear updates on the issues that impact our community.
With the changing of the seasons, I also want to remind everyone to stay mindful of the weather, as spring often brings unexpected storms, and to take the necessary precautions as we enter allergy season. As always, Rich Township remains here to serve you. I encourage you to stay connected, reach out, and take advantage of the services and resources available to support you and your families.
It is truly an honor to serve as your Supervisor, and I remain committed to continuing the work of strengthening and supporting the Rich Township community. I wish you and your families a safe and joyful holiday weekend, and on behalf of the Board of Trustees and our Constitutional Officers, a Happy Easter.
