PRIYA REDDY
Priya is an agricultural graduate from University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bangalore & pursued her Masters in the same field in Chaudary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Haryana with specialization in Seed Science & Technology. Presently, she is pursuing her PhD in Friedrich Schiller University, Jena (Germany) which is being funded by ICAR, New Delhi (Indian Council for Agricultural Research) for investigating the molecular basis of Plant- Endophyte interactions. Endophytic microbiota has played a major role in improving crop health, quality & productivity. So, Priya is trying to decipher the molecular mechanism of beneficial fungi protecting the plant against disease causing fungi. It is interesting to see the war between good & bad fungi in the host system Arabidopsis.! She is also a part of IMPRS-CE (International Max Planck Research School for Chemical Ecology), Jena, Germany.

Priya joined Sci-ROI as a volunteer this year and involved in the social media outreach to spread the word. Priya is interested in spreading the knowledge and opportunities in the field of science, India & abroad. She is also fascinated in science communication and unravelling the stories of scientists.

Dr. VINEET ARORA
Vineet is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at UF Scripps Biomedical Research, where he is a part of ongoing projects to understand cellular and molecular mechanisms by which Autism risk genes such as Syngap1 regulates cortical wiring and how this is disrupted in neurodevelopmental disorders. He got trained in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience from the Graduate school of Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience, an International Max Planck research school at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen followed by which he pursued his doctoral training at the Institute of Neuroscience in Alicante, Spain. He is committed to the pursuit of a deeper understanding of how brain function, at the cellular, molecular, and circuit level, and how that can dictate and modify behavior. He is a consolidated electrophysiologist and gene therapist with a wealth of experience working with mouse models of neurodevelopmental disorders. His goal is to employ technically advanced methods in animal models to decode pathophysiological mechanisms resulting in complex neuropsychiatric disease states.

He joined Sci-ROI in 2021 to help researchers abroad to transition back to Indian academia for starting their own labs. He is a part of social media outreach and blogs team at Sci-ROI.
