Upcoming Message Series

All of us want to be part of a healthy family. No matter your life stage — married, single, parent, grandparent, or empty nester — you want to be surrounded by a tribe of people who support you, love you, and help you pursue a meaningful life. In this series, we’ll learn what the Bible says about building a healthy, purpose-driven family. In a world where parents are stressed and overloaded, and kids are often confused by the mixed messages they receive from culture, discover how to grow a family that lives according to God's purposes.
Thank you for your continued generosity!

The Lie of Isolation

"O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart everyday? " - Psalm 13:1-2, NLT

People say time flies when you’re having fun, but when things shift into a minor key, life seems to move in slow motion. We often find ourselves thinking, “I don’t know if I’m ever going to get out of these circumstances.”

This verse contains a recurring question: “How long? How long?”

David’s circumstances aren’t described, but he clearly feels forgotten and forsaken—a feeling we all can relate to. It’s akin to what we feel when we lose a loved one.

To be isolated from human relationships is, without question, crushing, but what David writes of here is even more significant. He’s expressing a feeling of isolation from God, Himself. In his emerging depression, we discover that his perception, as is often the case with our own, does not reflect reality. What he feels to be true does not align with what he knows to be true.

The psalmist’s sentiment is shared by many of God’s people throughout Scripture. In Isaiah, God’s exiled people cry out, “ The Lord has forsaken me; my Lord has forgotten me” (Isaiah 49:14) . Christians have occasionally felt like saying, “I believe the Lord has actually forgotten us. If He has not forgotten us, if He was still with us, how would we be in this predicament? If He truly was watching over us, surely we would not have to endure these trials.”

Let’s not believe the lie of isolation that our emotions can feed us. We can find rest in God’s comforting response to His forgetful people: “I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands.” Isaiah 49:15b–16a, NLT.

God’s care for His children is like the sun: it’s constant. Even when the clouds obscure it, it’s still there. It’s always there.

Will we trust in God’s constancy today? Amidst our feeling forsaken, God looks at His hands, engraved with each and every one of our names, and He says, “There you are. I have not forgotten you.”

Summer Theme - Game Changers

Hi, Parents!
Summer is here and we're going to celebrate and have lots of fun! We're evaluating what we can and should do including things like Camp 4:12. We'll be rolling with the punches through summer and updating you as often as we can. We hope we'll able to do some in-person children's ministry, but regardless we'll be working hard to keep things fresh for your kids and to keep them engaged.

Car Talk:
*What kind of friend do you want to have?
*What kind of friend do you want to be?

Current Message Series

Because we live in a broken world, you will experience problems, trials, difficulties, losses, or failures. In fact, we're all in the middle of a tough situation right now. In this series, you'll learn how God has helped people in the past overcome setbacks. We can hope in our Creator because we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We want to move from “Is He able?” to “He is able!”

It's time to experience a "Breakthrough!"

Student Ministry This Week:

Memorial Day Weekend - NO MEETINGS

NEW summer schedule coming next week!

Souled Out has been moved to July 13 - July 17.

This decision has been made because Laguna Beach Christian Retreat center, where Souled Out is held, may still be closed on June 1, economic opening in Florida, Georgia and other parts of the southeast may not yet be far enough along, and while the virus situation is looking much better, we thought it would be premature at this stage to hold this type of event on June 1.

All that said, we felt like things are looking good enough that we could still plan to hold Souled Out later this summer, and Laguna Beach is offering the flexibility to allow us to move forward without being on the hook if things change.

  1. We will ask for $100 promise to pay deposits to made at this time to reserve student spots, but they will be refundable if Souled Out has to be canceled because things get worse again. The church will not have to make a payment for our group until July, and we will know by then that we're good to go for sure.
  2. We will have two morning and evening worship services so students can be more spread out than normal (half the groups will attend one, the second half the other)
  3. Student rooming will be much more spaced out than normal for Souled Out - translated we won't be packed in like sardines.

Souled Out is our biggest and most important student event of the year. It sets the tone for the next year and is an incredibly powerful opportunity for students to grow in their faith and for our group to develop identity and passion.

Over 20 years of student ministry, I've never seen an event or retreat be as impactful and as fun as Souled Out and with 12 trips to Souled Out Summer under our belt, we've been able to fine tune our group experience so we get the most out of it for our students.

You don't want to let your sons and daughters miss this!!!

New Souled Out Dates are Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17   .

Scholarships are available to help with costs to families  No student should miss Souled Out because of money or having to choose between it and other activities - It's that important!
