A Word From The Board

It's Fall again! That means we are working hard to plan our annual banquet and hope you all can make it! We are also looking for candidates for our board and scholarship.

Annual Meeting & Banquet

Nov 21, 2024 | Frankfort, KY

Save the date! We are excited to try a new format for this year's annual banquet. Starting in the theatre at KYTC's Central Office will be a wonderful technical session and panel discussions with industry stakeholders on topics ranging from Traffic Operations to Planning and Design.

After that, we will transition to the Foundry on Broadway in the heart of downtown Frankfort for the banquet, silent auction, and awards.

Call for Board Nominations and Scholarship Applicants

Know someone in the industry passionate about transportation in Kentucky and would like to help further the mission of KYSITE and ITE? You're in luck we are seeking nominations for the 2025 KYSITE board. Please send nominations to kysite@itedsc.org

We will also be opening the application for the KYSITE scholarship to be awarded at the annual banquet. Please let any students you know about this exciting opportunity. Keep an eye out for the application announcement soon.

Road Safety & Simulation Conference

Oct 28-31, 2024 | Lexington, Kentucky

This International Conference was established in Rome in 2007 as a biannual platform for researchers and professionals of different research backgrounds and expertise to share individual experiences and state-of-the-art research.

KYTC TSMO 101 Training

KYTC encourages everyone to attend TSMO 101. Designed for engineers, community planners, and public officials. Transportation engineers are eligible for training credit for attending.

2024 Louisville Meeting

A huge thank you to everyone who made this year's Louisville meeting a success.

We heard from Andy Rush and Andrew Brown on KIPDA updates on regional plans, including work on Louisville's High Injury Network and possibly bringing passenger rail back to Louisville!

Joseph Edmiston from LFUCG illuminated the importance and considerations of roadway lighting designs.

Daniel Wyatt from KYTC D5 planning provided a very informative update on planning initiatives in D5

And last but not least Brandon Shelley with KYTC D5 gave an impromptu presentation on the collision with an overhead sign from only days before and some great updates on improvements in KYTC D5 projects.

Annual Golf Outing
