This webinar will provide a framework in how intellectual property strategy can be of service to business strategy. Specifically, what areas need to be considered in a holistic IP strategy by any innovative company. The goal is for the executive to understand the intellectual property protection needs for their business model and identify the risks and opportunities. Different topics in a holistic IP strategy will be discussed to provide context on the business impact of IP, the basics of intellectual property rights and when each type should be leveraged, areas of considerations for IP governance and policies, and best practices.

National Science Foundation: $25M to Advance Technologies and Communications to Operate Securely Through 5G Networks

The U.S. National Science Foundation Directorate for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships is tackling 5G communication infrastructure and operational challenges through a $25 million investment to advance five convergent teams from Phase 1 to Phase 2 of NSF Convergence Accelerator Track G: Securely Operating Through 5G Infrastructure.  

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer Announces $10M to Boost Southern Tier Clean Energy Manufacturing

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that $10,000,000 is being made available through the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to help manufacturers across New York, including the Southern Tier. Schumer visited Allegany County earlier this month to highlight how investing in clean energy can help companies in the Southern Tier grow.

New York Consortium Wins $40M from CHIPS Act

The funding for the New York consortium, which also includes the University at Albany, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Cornell University and IBM, is among the first grants to be awarded under the $52 billion CHIPS and Science Act authored by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer of New York and signed into law last year. Albany Nanotech is owned and operated by NY CREATES, a state-run nonprofit.
