I want to begin this brief newsletter to let everyone know that I, Shahin, has accepted the call to take over my brother Shahbaz's position as the president of Advent Lighthouse. This work I undertake with a sense of its great need to exist so that the Muslim population of North America and Europe can have an opportunity to see and know Jesus for themselves.
I also want to thank all of our faithful supporters—through prayers and financial support—and that we could not exist without this, may God richly bless you all. Just a few months ago my brother Shahbaz and myself attended the ASI convention in Orlando Florida and were able to make our presence as a ministry more felt and known amongst our brethren. You are aware that this ministry—Advent Lighthouse—exists to serve the Iranian and Afghan Muslims of North American and Europe. This God given mission is heavy with responsibility and yet one that cannot be ignored and one that needs the Seventh-day Adventist church’s notice and efforts. Let us all pray for its success as we join hands and hearts to fulfill this call form God.
There are many localities within the US and Europe that must be considered in our efforts to reach these precious souls for whom Jesus died. One of these places is the New England States. In particular Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York. There are many Iranians and Afghans in these States that need to hear the Three Angels Messages for the first time and to be changed by their power and glory. I am inviting you to partner with us in this work. We are duty bound to do this and God forbid that we as a church would fail to accomplish this goal given to us by our Lord Himself.
My brothers and sisters, no effort is done by one person or one organization alone. There must be a united effort so that the work can be successful. Jesus has given us our order: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:19,20. If this work is going to meet with success, then we need to take the “Go” of Jesus seriously and literally. We need to “Go” and save. Therefore, this ministry needs your help, we need your prayers, and we need your financial support. Again, as the president of Advent Lighthouse I want to invite you to partner with us in this worthy endeavor by your prayers and where possible with your financial support.
