Dear Rich Township Family,
June is here, and with it comes the promise of warmer days, meaningful celebrations, and a renewed sense of community. This month, we take time to recognize Father’s Day—a special opportunity to honor the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who provide strength, support, and guidance in our lives. Fathers play an irreplaceable role in shaping families and communities, and we salute the dedication and love they bring every day.
We also look ahead to Juneteenth, a significant day in our nation’s history that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. It serves as a time for reflection, education, and celebration of Black freedom, culture, and progress. Rich Township is proud to recognize this day and what it represents for our collective journey forward.
As summer approaches and temperatures begin to rise, I want to remind everyone to stay safe and take precautions during extreme heat. Stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure, and check in on loved ones, especially our seniors.
To help, the Rich Township Senior Services Building will be available as a designated cooling center on select days throughout the season. Please stay tuned to our official channels for dates and alerts as they become available.
