Dear Rich Township Family,
As we close out Black History Month, I want to personally reflect on what an extraordinary evening we shared at our 2026 History Makers Awards Celebration. Under this year’s theme, The Circle of Life, we gathered not only to honor distinguished leaders, but to acknowledge the generational impact of those who have paved the way for progress in our communities.
One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was our tribute to Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr. Rev. Jackson’s lifelong commitment to civil rights, social justice, and economic empowerment has left an indelible mark on our nation. His courage, faith, and dedication to uplifting underserved communities continue to inspire leaders across generations. It was only fitting that we paused to recognize a legacy that has shaped so much of the history we honor today.
As we transition from Black History Month into Women’s History Month, we are reminded that the work of honoring excellence does not end with one celebration. March offers us another opportunity to recognize the strength, leadership, and influence of women who continue to shape our communities.
I invite you to join us for the 4th Annual Amazing Women of Rich Township Luncheon as we celebrate outstanding women of service and leadership. This event reflects our ongoing commitment to acknowledging those who uplift others and lead with purpose.
I also encourage all residents to continue taking advantage of the many services Rich Township provides. From Senior Services to voter assistance, community resources, and special events, our mission remains rooted in serving you. We are here to support, inform, and strengthen our community year-round.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, our Constitutional Officers, and the entire Rich Township staff, thank you for your continued engagement and partnership. Together, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and build a stronger future for Rich Township.
