The   Engineering & Operations Conference on May 10-11 at the DCU Center in Worcester is an event that you simply cannot afford to miss. Led by Dan Folding of the Rowley Municipal Lighting Plant, the E&O Conference Committee has put together an event that is chock full of seminars and hands-on demonstrations that are sure to be both enlightening and entertaining. Is your power on? Thank a lineman!
National Lineman Appreciation Day is April 18, a day set aside to raise awareness of the difficult and often dangerous work that line crews perform to keep the power on and to protect public safety.
 
Established in 2013, the day recognizes the contributions and sacrifices of the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to build and maintain this country's electric power infrastructure.
 
This special day would be a great time to personally express your thanks to the linemen you know, or send a message via #thankalineman or #NationalLinemanAppreciationDay.

The award is open to employees of NEPPA member utilities who deliver outstanding service to their customers, either through sustained, exceptional performance, or by developing new and/or innovative programs to meet customer needs.

Register now for Customer Service Leadership

It's not too late to register for NEPPA's two-day Customer Service Leadership certificate program to be held May 17-18 at Norwich (Conn.) Public Utilities.
 
Led by popular instructor Rockie Blunt, the program focuses on the knowledge and techniques needed to serve customers confidently and professionally. Cost is $450 for NEPPA members; $675 for non-members.
