Introduction: Newly Elected 1st Vice President - Gary Roberts
|
As of January 1, 2017, I will officially be the new 1st Vice President of the NHPA. It is an honor and a privilege to serve the membership in this capacity. I will make every effort to not disappoint those who elected me to this position. I will always be responsive and accessible to the membership.
Following Dan Sanders into this role is a challenge. Dan's knowledge and dedication would be very difficult to replace. Dan has graciously offered to assist me in any way during the transition and beyond. Other Council members have also offered their assistance. I very much appreciate this willingness to help.

Tournament Patch Distribution Under Way
by
Bill Marvin, 5th VP, Regional Director, Court Sanctioning Director
|
Welcome to 2017! Last year was certainly one for the books. No longer will my Cub fan friends have to say wait till next year. As a lifelong St. Louis Cardinal fan, I tried to explain to them what it felt like to back a World Champion team and always came up a little short. Now they have had that experience, ending 108 years of frustration. There were many other high lights in 2016, and they will be topics of discussion for years to come.

Fall signifies the end of the 2016 outdoor pitching season for those of us in the North. It also marks the start for 2017. New cards are now available for purchase from your Charter Secretary. One way to recruit new players is to get them a membership for Christmas. The NHPA card will fit nicely inside a Season Greeting and is a nice surprise to someone who has been thinking about joining the NHPA and will bolster the membership numbers for your Charter.
