Institute for Organization Management (Institute) is the premier continuing education experience for chamber professionals. Since 1921, the Institute program has educated and empowered chamber executives with the knowledge and skills they need to be leaders in their organizations and industry.

The Institute curriculum is comprised of four week-long sessions. Each session is five days and is offered at five locations across the country annually. With courses on topics such as advocacy, media training, membership, finance, legal issues, human resources, and much more, Institute ultimately educates participants on all facets of running an association. Wausau Chamber hires firm to create plans for possible coworking space in historic electric building

Plans are progressing on a  potential coworking space  that business leaders hope will attract young professionals to Wausau. The Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday hired McMAHON Group, an engineering and architectural firm based in Neenah, to create a design plan to transform a historic electric building on the river for the possible coworking space.

Ames Chamber to take local concerns to D.C.

As representatives from the Ames Chamber of Commerce land in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, they hope to bring the issues affecting Iowans to leaders in the nation’s capital. From Tuesday to Thursday, representatives from the Ames Chamber, along with Sens. Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst, will meet with various officials in Washington, D.C., to discuss issues including trade, renewable energy, immigration and infrastructure.

Deb McMillan to lead Minnesota Chamber's workforce initiatives

The Minnesota Chamber recently announced the hiring of Deb McMillan, TwinWest Chamber's vice president of public policy, to lead the Minnesota Chamber Foundation's Center for Workforce Solutions. This center is a first-of-its-kind in Minnesota business-led initiative that offers research and programs to confront the state's worker shortage and help the economy change and grow.
"We enthusiastically welcome Deb to head up our workforce initiatives," Minnesota Chamber President Doug Loon said in a news release.
