Peter Small 
Peter M. Small, M.D. is an Affiliate Professor of Global Health at the University of Washington and Chief Medical Officer of Hyfe, Inc. He practiced Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases in the San Francisco Bay area at the dawn of the HIV epidemic. At Stanford, he published pioneering molecular epidemiological papers about the resurgence of tuberculosis and mycobacterial population genetics. In 2002, he joined the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation where he built and ran the foundation’s TB program. In 2015 he founded Stony Brook University's Global Health Institute focused on the use of technology to delivery health care in remote Madagascar and Nepal. More recently he was a Rockefeller Foundation Fellow exploring how technology can improve health in LMICs and the Senior Director of Global Health Technologies at Global Health Labs (formerly Global Good) in Bellevue.
