Talk Title — SARS-CoV2 and air pollution interactions

Kian Fan Chung 
Professor Chung is Professor of Respiratory Medicine at the National Heart & Lung Institute, Imperial College London and Respiratory Physician at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, London. He is Senior Investigator for the UK National Institute for Health Research. He is on the Scientific Committee of The Clean Breathing Institute.
Professor Chung specialises on the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and on conditions underlying chronic cough. He studies how the lungs respond to external agents such as pollutants and infections at the airway mucosal interface.  
Professor Chung currently leads research projects on precision medicine in severe asthma, on the integration of the effects of exposure to pollution at an individual level and on the role of eosinophils in airways disease.
