February 6, 2022

Our next CCA Advocacy Committee Meeting is on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 9:30AM - 11:30AM.

At this meeting we need to focus the ENTIRE meeting on legislation. We will start with a brief overview of happenings at the Capitol this past week, but then need to get through our still VERY LONG list of bills.

We will have to make some difficult decisions at this meeting and delete some of the bills. To make the task of reviewing the bills more efficient, we need all members to review the bills before the meeting.

  • Please review the list of bills and come prepared to share your top bills that you think we should follow and become involved with.
  • Remember that we will need volunteers to step forward to follow each of the bills we are tracking.
  • Be prepared to get involved in the bill tracking.

Here is a link to our bill tracker web page where you will find the link to the actual bill tracker:

2-4-2022 UPDATE TO SUBGROUP LIST: We have updated our Advocacy Planning Subgroup List to include 2022 bills from our CCA bill tracker. We have also consolidated some of the Subgroup Topics and renamed them. Please review and share any suggestions - View CCA Advocacy Planning Subgroup List - CLICK HERE

Zoom Link for the meeting is further down the page.

Review Bills & Be Prepared to Vote

Generally, the CCA Advocacy Committee will discuss a bill and decide whether to keep it on our list for consideration of a position at the next meeting. Remember, you must be a Member of the Colorado Center for Aging to vote on bills. The bills will be considered for a position of Support, Strongly Support, Oppose, Amend, or Monitor. The committee also may take a position of Support with Amendments or Oppose with Amendments.

Please review the bills before the meeting

and come prepared to discuss.
