January 8, 2023

Hello Karin,

Our next meeting is Monday, January 9, 2023 which is the first day of the Colorado Legislative Session.

Starting in January we will be meeting every Monday, except for major holidays until the legislative session ends. For 2023 our meetings are 9:30AM to 11:00AM but some meetings may run longer as we get deeper into the legislative session. The agenda for this meeting is:

  • Jeanette Hensley and Rich Mauro will be sharing updates on the bills we have discussed before and provide an overview of changes at the Capitol such as new members, new committee names, etc.
  • Jeanette Hensley and Rich Mauro will review the Policy Interest Survey and advocacy subgroups, along with the responses to our solicitation for volunteers. We need any CCA policy advocacy interest volunteers to sign up as a volunteer lobbyist with the Secretary of the House.
  • Jeanette Hensely will share information on Colorado Capitol Watch Bill Tracker system that Colorado Center for Aging has signed up for. Your dues help us pay for this service!
  • Is your Coloradao Center for Aging membership current? Remember that to vote on bill positions you must be a member. Send us an email if you are unsure if you are a member - CLICK HERE

Below be sure to read the "News from CCA" Below

We have a link to the Policy Interest Survey and a link to a survey asking for anyone to share their experiences with age discrimination when applying for a job.
