Next Chapter For The Fly A Kite Foundation
Dear Fly A Kite Foundation Family,

Since the Foundation’s inception, I have marveled at the great work we have done together. With donations hovering at $ 300,000, the numerous events we have executed, personal discussions with families who are struggling with Pediatric Brain Cancers and the connections we have made with thousands of supporters all over the world. I have been very blessed to have had the opportunity to work with a great Board of Directors, Doctors, and Community. I truly believe we have made a direct impact on the lives we touch, both inside the “halls” of the Foundation and outside in the community.

Over the past several months, I have been contemplating the future and direction of the Fly A Kite Foundation. Although, we have seen 40% year-over-year growth, I have been highly active with the advocacy work we do and have committed myself to the increased support for these individual families. In the near future, we will shift our attention to personalized consultancy and helping individual families in their fight against this terrible disease.

Effective 12/31/2017, we will no longer be soliciting funds for research but providing a bridge to institutions we feel are providing the most informative research and promise for a DIPG cure. We will continue to act under the 501(c)(3) regulations but will encourage our supportive community to make a direct contribution to the institutions listed below.

We have vetted each lab for their commitment to curing pediatric cancer, their investment in staff and resources and documented research. I want to personally thank the Fly A Kite Foundation Board for your continued support and commitment. I also want to thank all the “friends” of the Fly A Kite Foundation. You have been an invaluable partner in our fight to cure DIPG and Children’s Brain Cancer.

I am encouraged by the growth and progress made but we have so much more to do. I hope my renewed interest will provide families who are suffering from pediatric brain cancer the guidance, understanding and support they need.

This is not the end but only the beginning!

With Much Appreciation
