The Next Culture of Research builds respect and trust amongst researchers, facilitates communication and encourages the sharing of ideas and experiences. We foster internal and external collaboration, promote mentoring and provide support and training for research faculty, students and staff so they may achieve career progression and personal well-being.

The Faculty Retention, Advancement & Mentorship Evaluation (FRAME)

The University of Cincinnati is broadening work to grow inclusive excellence through a newly expanded program, the Faculty Retention, Advancement, & Mentorship Evaluation (FRAME) program, which is designed to build and sustain an academic research environment that fosters an equitable and civil culture in biomedical research by hiring, retaining, and promoting biomedical research faculty who use inclusive excellence strategies in their teaching, service, and/or research.

NEH: Collaborative Research

Deadline: November 20th, 2024


The Collaborative Research program aims to advance humanistic knowledge by supporting teams of scholars working on a joint endeavor leading to a manuscript for print publication or to a digital product. Teams may propose research in a single field of study or interdisciplinary work. NEH encourages projects that incorporate multiple points of view and pursue new avenues of inquiry.

NEH: Scholarly Editions and Translations

Deadline: December 4th, 2024


The Scholarly Editions and Translations program provides grants to organizations to support collaborative teams who are editing, annotating, and translating foundational humanities texts that are vital to generating new scholarship but are inaccessible or only available in inadequate editions or translations. Works from any humanities field may be the subject of an edition.

Rolling deadlines



Supports ambitious ideas and innovative strategies to address challenges and inequalities within the research enterprise, with a focus on: enhancing practices and processes within the research enterprise, developing and strengthening human capital within the research enterprise, and translating effective practices related to the research enterprise into diverse institutional and organizational contexts through partnerships with professional societies and organizations.
