De-escalation and Crisis Intervention: It Takes Two to Tango!

Did you know that, oftentimes, childcare staff can prevent disruptive behaviors from escalating by being aware of their nonverbal and verbal behaviors? This training will focus on de-escalation techniques as a method of prevention within the childcare setting.

Join the EnhancEd team for trainings geared for Therapeutic Integration Specialists (TIS) and team members. All are welcome to participate in these trainings, however most training information focuses on Toddler, Preschool, & School Age children with special needs. EnhancEd trainings count towards approved DHS training hours. While ALL staff are invited to attend, it is required that Therapeutic Integration Specialists (TIS) attend trainings. TIS staff are responsible for attending these trainings in order to learn crucial techniques and strategies and to complete daily tasks in an efficient manner.

Trainings will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams and are APPROVED in Rhode Island for 2 hours of training by the Center for Early Learning Professionals.
