❄️🧣 Give the Gift of Warm Coats to Kids

Planning to do some shopping on Black Friday? Consider grabbing a few warm clothing items for children in need during the Cabarrus Partnership for Children’s Annual Cuddle Up Coat Drive.

Donated coats are distributed to approximately 300–400 children who are in need of warm clothing in Cabarrus County.

» What's needed:

👕 New and gently used clean/washed coats of all sizes - Most needed: Sizes 5-10 for boys and girls
❄️ Winter clothing for preschool-aged children
🧤 Gloves and winter hats
🧦 New packages of socks and underwear

Kohl's Cash, gift cards, and monetary donations to purchase more coats when they run out of sizes that are needed. Visit the Partnership's website for donation options.

Cabarrus Brewing Company is one of the drop-off locations around the county (see the full list) and they are also dedicating their Mission Monday to the Coat Drive on Dec 4th ^.from 5-8pm. Winter coats of all sizes will be accepted through Dec 31st.

You can also support the Partnership by shopping for their Duffle Bags of Hope program which involves assembling duffle bags, each carefully curated with comfort and personal care items, for children entering the foster care system.

Christmas at Cabarrus Holiday Market

Looking for a great way to get into the Holiday spirit? Visit the Cabarrus Brewing Co. on Saturday, Nov 25th from 10am to 5pm and support over 120+ local vendors onsite at the 7th Annual Christmas at Cabarrus Holiday Market! There will be food trucks and a few surprises too.

Shop with over 50 indoor and outdoor market vendors in Downtown Concord this Saturday (Nov 25th) and receive a FREE shop local canvas bag, take photos with Santa, visit the artist market and take a Holiday Trolley ride to Cabarrus Brewing Co. and Southern Strain Brewery. Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving Day

On Thanksgiving Day, some restaurants in Cabarrus County will welcome guests all day while others will only be open for breakfast, lunch or, pick-up orders. Be sure to call the restaurant for the latest information on hours and menu. Thank you to Explore Cabarrus for this great list!

Cabarrus Creamery to Close in 2023

We were sad to see that the Cabarrus Creamery announced on social media they will be closing this winter, but hoping to open again in the spring. Their last day will be Sunday, Nov 26th. Thanksgiving weekend hours will be Friday 3-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 1-8pm. Be sure to enjoy this local favorite one last time in 2023.

Dover Vineyards in Concord is hosting a Peanut Butter Jelly Jam on Nov 25th from 3-6pm. There will be plenty of jams and jellies to try and buy along with Coddle Creek Nut Butters! 🍇🥪🍷 Enjoy a sandwich, a glass of wine, and jam the evening away with local band Carolina Beer Money (eclectic, female-fronted band, playing original and cover music)
