Welcome back for the final part of the Financial Aid Award Letter series! Financial aid can definitely be confusing, but we want to make sure you have a good foundation/understanding when you go off to post-secondary. Check out the final part of this series and please reach out with any questions you might have!

ICYMI: MSU EXTENSION PRESENTS ADULTING 101
This exciting series of Adulting 101 is being offered for high school youth to help prepare for life on your own.

Different session topics will be offered on Wednesdays in May starting at 4 p.m. ET. Each session will last approximately an hour. 

  • May 12 - Public Speaking: This workshop helps participants learn the best practices of public speaking.

  • May 19 - Living on Your Own: The Informed Renter: Identify benefits and negatives of renting vs. buying a home and affordability.

This week concludes our fundraising weeks for the 2020-2021 school year!

Melvindale’s High School’s Fundraising Week is off to a great start, and runs through Friday! Keep an eye out for the Special Fundraising Editions of Next Level News this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Remember the student who raises the most will win a gift card!

  • Starting tomorrow (May 12), eligible households can enroll in the federal Emergency Broadband Benefit Program to receive a monthly discount on the cost of broadband internet. The program is open to households with children receiving free or reduced-price lunch or school breakfast and Pell Grant recipients.
