“Exploring Gestalt Practice”

Sunday, March 23, 2025

6:30-8:30 PM Pacific Time

In this meeting and throughout our series, we will continue exploring significant aspects of Gestalt Practice, drawing inspiration from Wade Hudson’s interview with Dick Price. This session will focus on how Gestalt Practice supports turning toward what we notice—especially when it is an ignored or avoided figure.

Dick often quoted Fritz Perls as saying that growth stops with the avoidance of pain. Gestalt Practice encourages us to get curious about any avoided figure—including pleasure!—and to explore what happens when we stay present with sensations, feelings, images, and thoughts that we typically ignore or suppress.

This is the second in a series of four monthly gatherings hosted by the Gestalt Practice Library and Resource Center (GPLRC). Each session includes foundational practices, didactic teaching, and experiential exploration of key topics in Gestalt Practice, followed by Q&A and open discussion.

Christine Price, Sharon Terry, and Dorothy Charles will facilitate these meetings in various combinations, drawing on the library's resources.

These programs lead up to the Grand Opening celebration on June 21, 2025. Save the date!

PLEASE RSVP to ensure receive the meeting recording after the meeting, follow-up materials, and a calendar invitation with the link included. If you do not register, then we cannot follow up with you.
