My journey to The Mountain began 25 years ago when our family first visited during our congregation’s retreat weekend. We were amazed by the beauty of the area and the spectacular views. We enjoyed both connecting with nature and the other congregants in a fun social weekend. Our family returned many times while our children were growing up, especially for the various youth con weekends.
I hadn’t visited The Mountain for several years until about five years ago when I returned for a men’s retreat weekend. It was great to be back at The Mountain, but I noticed The Mountain had not aged well.
I recently visited The Mountain in October and was very impressed with all the new improvements to the facility. Two of the outsides of the lodge have been completely rebuilt and I learned about plans for renovating three duplexes along with repairing the lake dam.
My wife and I want to see The Mountain thrive for many decades to come for future generations to experience what we have with our family. This is why we are supporting The Mountain’s Capital Campaign and strongly urge others to do the same.
