For more then a year I have been excited by the idea of announcing the opening of Kim Cogan's show, and now, with only a week to go, I am pleased to send this preview announcement for the exhibit. No other painter visualizes the Manhattan skyline, avenues and subways with the mystery and the light like Kim Cogan. Fifteen new canvases will be on exhibit with prices range from $3,500 - $25,000.
Kim captures the city in both the early dawn hours and as dusk merges into the dark of midnight. In his hands the city is electric.
I hope to see you next Thursday for the opening. For a full price sheet please e-mail me: andrew@galleryhenoch.com

John Evans: New Paintings
The first paintings to be completed since John Evans's highly regarded exhibition will be included in the September Gallery Show. We will feature a number of new artists in the show which will open September 1, 2011. In the first painting by Evans we see a more refined vision of his Botanic Garden Series. In this work he clearly defines the vegetation although he continues to play with perspective and imbues the paintings with velvety color. Three new pieces have been received e-mail andrew@galleryhenoch.com for additional images and prices. | John Evans, AQUATIC GARDEN POOL III, Oil on Canvas, 72" x 60"

Gallery Henoch is pleased to represent paintings by Patricia Traub. For several decades, Patricia has concerned herself with the tenuous relationship between humans and animals. Her paintings have been an expression of social issues - focusing on the human condition, conservation, evolution and extinction. Her aesthetics originate from pre-nineteen century sensibility - meaning, hand skills, traditional drawing methods, composition and indirect painting techniques. For inspiration and knowledge she looked to the old masters such as, Titian, Artemisia, Rembrandt, Landseer, and Rosa Bonheur. Traub has two paintings in the current Summer Show. Click the Summer show tab in the table of contents of this e-mail to read about the show.
