Dear Peter, I am excited by the growing interest in ATN close to home in Downtown Denver. After significant expense and with much disruption,16th Street Mall has been reconstructed. It is now refreshed but still uses large obtrusive shuttle buses. New Downtown Denver, Inc. is proposing improvements using a gondola version of ATN that would improve the Mall experience and link it to surrounding areas. We believe expanding the ATN service to eliminate the proposed need for moving sidewalks could make it even better.

Germany’s Cabinentaxi: The Double-Sided Monorail That Wasn’t Meant To Be

In good news for daily travelers, Mira-Bhayandar and Thane in Maharashtra are soon getting a new and modern transport system- a pod taxi service. The Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC)has already approved this project, including all surveys and clearances.

In a major development aimed at revolutionizing urban transportation, Mira-Bhayandar is set to welcome a futuristic pod taxi service. Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik announced that all necessary permissions and survey clearances have been granted to the concerned agency by the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC).

Orange County city takes first steps to add aerial gondolas

Irvine’s Great Park is supposed to be the long-awaited crown jewel of the meticulously master-planned suburb in Orange County. Currently around 500 acres in size and still under construction, the park is expected to ultimately span 1,300 acres, making it larger than New York City’s Central Park (and larger than San Francisco’s 1,017-acre Golden Gate Park). Once completed, Great Park is expected to be one of the largest municipal parks in the country.

Irvine’s Great Park board — composed of the mayor and City Council members — voted, 5-1, to authorize the city manager to begin negotiations with a startup to build a gondola-style transit system to ferry people across the 1,300-acre space.
