From the President

Dear Peter, we continue to be encouraged by the increasing momentum in the ATN industry. New technologies and projects continue to emerge. Many have been in development for years. Makes you wonder how many we do not know about.

PS: We love you. Please join ATRA/pay your dues/volunteer.

Greater Denver Transit Presentation

A recent presentation to Greater Denver Transit provided some new insights. To provide background, we polled about a dozen ATN suppliers (of whom about a half responded) with results indicating that there are presently about 84 ATN projects in various stages of development around the world: 6 in public operation; 12 being implemented (in design and/or construction); and 66 being planned. The illustration shows the continents involved.

The presentation audience was comprised mainly of public transit users. Their anonymous responses to various questions are tabulated below.

The presentation can be viewed here.
