On March 12, the third largest paper petition in Canadian history was tabled in Parliament. Over 157,057 signatures have been collected and confirmed with the Clerk of Petitions. This petition calls upon the Government to enact the Charter of Health Freedom.  Because of the size of the petition, the Government will be obligated to give an official response.

Bill C-224 passed unanimously

This Bill has successfully just passed 2nd reading and is now before the Standing Committee on Health.  C-224 repeals the changes that were snuck into the 2023 Budget Bill.  Those changes put NHP’s into the Therapeutic Drug Model and made them subject to 5 million dollar a day fines for sharing truthful health information (https://nhppa.org/bill224/).

NHPPA needs your help with phone calls, e-letters, and letters to let the Standing Committee on Health know that we want the changes from 2023 repealed.

NHPPA is calling on individuals, professionals, and organizations to submit written briefs to the Committee.

Instructions on this revised campaign will soon be on the website.
