A true "Wine Country" experience awaits you in
Montebello Park (Lake Street between Ontario Street and Queen Street)
, the hub of the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival
. A celebration of Niagara and the bounty of harvest, the Montebello Park food and wine experience truly showcases all that the Region has to offer. Local chefs will provide regional cuisine and VQA wines can be purchased by the sample or glass. There will be plenty of
live entertainment.
From opening night with Lowest of the Low to closing night with Great Lake Swimmers, the mainstage in Montebello Park will feature an incredible line up. New this year is the Chinese Harvest Moon Festival on Monday September 24. Join us in Montebello Park for seven days of the best
live entertainment.
On festival weekends, both the
Harvest Lounge and the
Sommelier Lounge provide guests with the creature comforts away from the crowds at Montebello Park. Or dive right in and mingle with all the festival goers during this annual celebration.
Also at Montebello Park there will be lots of inflatable fun at Niagara Inflatables' Grapeland! Families can enjoy lots of different inflatables and games, as well as Family Food Station with kid approved food at family prices. Grapeland will be open Saturdays 11:00 am to 8:00 pm and Sundays 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm.

The Parades / Downtown Road Closures

Youngsters from Niagara (age 2 to 12) are invited to join the Marching SuperBand in the 2018 Pied Piper Parade. Dress as your favourite superhero and bang your homemade drum as you march the special "Kids Parade" route from Montebello Park and back. Afterwards, celebrate with refreshments in the Grapeland Family Activity Area of Montebello Park. Prizes will be awarded to the best themed costumes. Please note, p
arts of Lake Street, Queen Street, Church Street & William Street will be closed on the morning of Saturday, September 22 for the Pied Piper Parade.

Parade begins at 11:00am
This rain or shine event will parade through the downtown core of St. Catharines, Ontario, where we will welcome tens of thousands of spectators.
Immerse yourself in the Four Seasons in Wine Country as hundreds of musicians, dancers, acrobats, entertainers and floats fill the streets of Downtown St. Catharines. New Artistic Director Alice Burke has woven a spectacle of colour, sound and energy into an incredible hour of pageantry. Get downtown early to save your seat!
Don't forget to donate your non-perishable food items to the annual Community Care Food Drive,
collected just before the Meridian Grande Parade begins and help to fill the shelves at our local food bank!

Parking and Street Closures
|
While visiting Montebello Park or attending the parades in Downtown St. Catharines, parking is available at the City's parking garages on Ontario Street and Carlisle Street as well as at municipal surface lots and parking meters. Special event parking pricing of $5 on evenings or weekends may be in effect at garages and lots. But you'll often find that municipal parking is free on weekends and evenings after 6:00pm.
Some downtown parking lots are privately owned and charge around the clock or are for permit holders only. If parking in a private lot, please read signs carefully to make sure that public parking is permitted and what the payment options are.
The Ontario Street Parking Garage is only a 5 minute walk to Montebello Park. On Grande Parade day, plan to park there before 9:00 am at the Ontario Street parking garage.
