Montebello Park (Lake Street between Ontario Street and Queen Street)
, the hub of the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival
. A celebration of Niagara and the bounty of harvest, the Montebello Park food and wine experience truly showcases all that the Region has to offer. Local chefs will provide regional cuisine from one to three tokens per portion, while VQA wines can be purchased by the sample or glass. There will be plenty of
live entertainment.
From opening night with favourite Beatles tribute band, The Caverners, to closing night with roots rocker JJ Shiplett, the mainstage in Montebello Park will feature an incredible line up. Join us in Montebello Park for six days of the best
live entertainment.
The Harvest Lounge in Montebello Park's historic pavilion provides guests with the creature comforts away from the crowd and private seating with a panoramic view of the entire park. Harvest Lounge passes ($10 + HST) include VIP access to park and lounge and your commemorative glass. Weekend passes also available. Tokens are available for food and wine experiences.
Also at Montebello Park there will be lots of inflatable fun at
Niagara Inflatables' Grapeland! Families can enjoy lots of different inflatables and games! Grapeland will be open Saturdays 11:00 am to 8:00 pm and Sundays 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm. One ticket per ride. Tickets 10 for $20, 4 for $10 or $3 each. All Day Wristbands are $20.
New this year! Visit local artisans and producers of uniquely Niagara products in the
Homegrown Marketplace in Montebello Park. Local artists will host painting, beading and culinary classes in the Homegrown Marketplace.

Come join Gabby and her friends in the Pied Piper Parade! Show your Canadian colours and tell us, through your imagination and costume, your favourite Canadian person, place, or thing. This year is the 150th Anniversary of Canada; let's show our pride and celebrate Canada's heritage together.
Youngsters from Niagara are invited to show their creativity as they march a short parade from Montebello Park and back. Afterwards, celebrate with refreshments in the Grapeland Family Activity Area of Montebello Park. Prizes will be awarded to the best themed costumes. Please note, parts of Lake Street, Queen Street, Church Street & William Street will be closed on Saturday, September 16 from 11am to 12pm for the Pied Piper Parade.
The 66th Annual Meridian Grande Parade takes place on
Saturday September 23, 2017.
This rain or shine parade event organized and produced by the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival begins at 11:00am, in the downtown core of the St. Catharines, Ontario, where more than 70,000 spectators will be welcomed.
Enjoy the colour and the pageantry of one of North America's foremost street parades! The Meridian Grande Parade hosts an outstanding procession of marching bands, drum corps, community groups, majorettes, floats and amazing performances. Make sure you catch all the excitement at the Meridian Parade Pre-Show Fun Zones!
Downtown road closures begin at 9:00am; Lake Street closure between Carlton Street and Welland Avenue begins at 8:00am.

Parking and Street Closures
|
While visiting Montebello Park or attending the parades, FREE parking is available Saturdays and Sundays at the City's parking garages on Ontario Street and Carlisle Street as well as at municipal surface lots and parking meters.
Some downtown parking lots are privately owned and charge around the clock or are for permit holders only. If parking in a private lot, please read signs carefully to make sure that public parking is permitted and what the payment options are.
On Grande Parade Day, follow the DOWNTOWN signs to reach the City's centre. Remember to park early in Downtown St. Catharines. Downtown road closures begin at 9:00 am. Also, Lake Street closes between Carlton Street and Welland Avenue at 8:00 am for pre-parade staging.
The Ontario Street Parking Garage is only a 5 minute walk to Montebello Park. On Grande Parade day, park before 9:00 am at the Ontario Street parking garage.
