It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Nick Lodato, at the wonderful age of 103. Nick was our oldest IAET member.
Nick was a great family man, great friend, and a true mentor. Nick held just about every position in the IAET, including President. He had a warm and loving nature as well as a wonderful outlook on life. He took whatever God threw at him and always appeared to shake it off his back, regardless of how he felt.
Nick was always very active with IAET. He was the head waiter when we had our Spaghetti Dinners at Our Lady of Pompeii, he put in many hours when we had a booth at the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel when we were selling Meatballs on a stick and he helped raise many dollars for Scholarship.
In 2011, Nick received and truly deserved our Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011. Nick always gave everything his best shot, and never complained about any trials and tribulations he may have been going through personally. Nick was blessed with good health, as well as a healthy outlook on life.
We will all miss his smile, attitude, and friendship, as well as his team spirit and sense of unity. Rest in Peace my friend, you have done well and touched many.
