Platform 2024: A Delicate Ritual, guest-curated by renowned choreographer Kyle Abraham, opens next week! The first of Abraham's thoughtful artistic pairings, artists Nicholas Ryan Gant (aka the Ghetto Falsetto) and Shamel Pitts each present work over three shared evenings.
Nicholas Ryan Gant is an esteemed educator, vocalist, composer, and vocal coach. He has collaborated with a wide range of award-winning artists, including Platform curator Kyle Abraham! Restore: A Healing Conversation Through Music is an introspective glimpse into growth – relational, experimental, and spiritual.
Shamel Pitts, a 2024 recipient of the prestigious Doris Duke Artist Award (Dance) 🎉, is the founding artistic director of TRIBE, a Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary arts collective. His solo little black lake of RED evolves into a communal rite, within a multidimensional stream of consciousness flow of eccentricity, passion, ritual.
