Shanel Thompson, Hunter College ’22, is a symbol of strength. Last year, she endured the tragic murder of her father and a fire at her family’s home, but kept driving toward her goal of finishing school and becoming a reporter. After interning with NBC and BronxNet, she landed a full-time job as a production assistant and media coordinator for Fox 5. Shanel is excited to continue building her journalism career and realizing her ambitions.
