PRAYERS FOR PEACE
In the next few weeks, Nimmo Missions Ministry is leading a collections event to support the more than 2 million Ukrainian refugees harboring in Europe and now in North America.

These families, often with small children, left their homes with little more than 1 bag each of belongings to escape the bombing and seizure of their homes. They escaped to neighboring countries that have risen impressively to the challenge of taking them in and keeping them safe.

Nimmo is partnering with the Tidewater Ukrainian School, a non-profit 501-3c charity, to gather small, badly needed first aid items that are needed immediately to support the refugees. We have the ability to gather these small items and Tidewater Ukrainian School has the connections to ensure our support gets to where it is most needed.
The needed items are listed below.
Here, at home, we have continued our Peace Crane Easter project and now have approximately 800 cranes flying in the sanctuary. Each crane either has a written prayer within or was made in a moment of prayer, knowing that the Holy Spirit recognizes the unspoken need…. Many of these cranes already carry prayers for Ukraine, the refugees, the hosting countries and for an end to war.

The list of needed items are:
  1. First Aid antibiotic ointment
  2. Emergency Mylar thermal blankets
  3. Tylenol Extra Strength Acetaminophen 500 mg
  4. Chewable Pepto Bismol
  5. Band-Aid Brand absorbent cushion care sterile square, guaze pads for first aid protection of minor cuts.
  6. Flexible rolled gauze
  7. Moleskin Foam Padding
  8. Bleed Stop (any type)
  9. Vinyl examination gloves 1,000 count, latex free
  10. BURN GELS OR OINTMENTS (ANY TYPE)

Most items can be found at Walmart in pharmacy aisle or camping aisle

GOT COUPONS?
The Food Pantry has also begun collecting “Coupons for a Cause”. If you have coupons for things like diapers, pull ups, baby formula, baby food, pet food, etc. that you do not need, please consider donating them to the food pantry for distribution to clients to help with those costs. There is a collection bin in the pantry or you can bring them to the church office. Thank you!

Your Next Level Innovations Team has completed Nimmo’s Breakthrough Prayer! After much prayer and care, and discernment, we have come up with a prayer that we feel personalizes our hopes and desires as we pray to God, that he may lead us in our journey to the next level as a church committed to making Disciples of Jesus Christ.
Please keep this prayer in your hearts and join us in praying it at breakfast and dinner time, and then listen, watch and wait as exciting things begin to happen at Nimmo.

If you have any questions, please contact any member of our team: Jack Calhoun, John Folsom, Marie Grindle, Melody Jeffrey, Robin Nelson, Mary Ann Schmidt or Pastor Amanda.
