For the past six years Nina & Dale have offered virtual training via Zoom. The group meets six weekends from September to May. It is limited to twelve members and this year there is room for a couple of people. Nina & Dale offer on-going closed groups so that greater safety and higher cohesion can be created and deeper work can occur.

Participants have the opportunity to direct one psychodrama session (commensurate with their level of training and experience) and to be a protagonist at least once during the training year. Each training module is two hours long and includes, warm-up, action and sharing. Each drama is followed by thirty minutes of processing.

WHO ATTENDS: Usually there its a wide range of psychodrama training and experience from those in the beginning stages of training to seasoned certified psychodramatists with decades of experience.

WHY JOIN: Persons who join the are: people who wish for a home-group with eager and willing trainers, group members and skilled auxiliary egos, ensuring a safe place for support and to do one's own interior work. It is also a non-judgmental learning environment for those who are curious about psychodrama and how to do it; those who are midway in their psychodrama training and wish to experience other trainers and other perspectives. Further it is a haven for seasoned psychodramatists who wish to rekindle and recharge their spontaneity and creativity.

Dale Richard Buchanan, LICSW, PhD, TEP

Antonina Garcia, LICSW, EdD, TEP, RDT/BCT trains psychodramatists nationally and internationally and is in private practice. She is co-author of Sociodrama: Who's in Your Shoes? 2nd ed. with Patricia Sternberg, published by Praeger Press. She is the recipient of the J. L. Moreno Award, lifetime achievement 2008, William Moreno Award 2024, and the Gertrud Schattner Award 2012. Formerly she was Coordinator of the Creative Arts Therapeutic Settings Option at Brookdale Community College and at NYU's Drama Therapy Program. She is past Executive Editor of the Journal of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama and past Chair of the American Board of Examiners.

Dale Richard Buchanan, PhD., TEP is in private practice and is an internationally noted trainer, author, and consultant. Formerly he was Director of Clinical therapies at Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, DC. He is former Executive Director and former Chairperson of the American Board of Examiners. He has recieved the J.L. Moreno Award, the Hanna B. Weiner Award, Neil Passariello AIDS Service Award and the President's Award from the ASGPP.

CEU'S & PSYCHODRAMA TRAINING HRS:  10hrs. monthly

This training program is approved by the Department of Health in Florida as Continuing Education for Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Mental Health Counselors, Provider #501655 exp. 3/31/27 and for Clinical Psychologists, #501656, exp. 3/31/28. If you are licensed in another state, contact your state licensing board to see if they will accept these Florida approved CEU's.

This training has also been approved by the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociodrama, and Group Psychotherapy. Participants who attend the entire training series may credit 60 distance training hours towards the ABE requirement of 780 hours for certification. Please note that at this time, the ABE permits up to 140 hours from distance training sources.

SUPERVISION

A Separate group supervision session will be offered on the Friday morning of each training weekend. The cost of supervision, if desired is $75 per session.
